This year we are going to be taking part in the Take One Picture project with the National Gallery (we tried last year, but didn’t quite complete it as a whole school due to Covid getting in the way!). We will be doing it as a whole school project in the summer term culminating in an exhibition of all the children’s work which we are looking forward to sharing with our wider community. Art update from Mrs Reavill!
Salterton Class was excited to take part in Salisbury Library’s recent exhibition, ‘Artists’ Studio’, where we were asked to research an artist and recreate what we thought his studio may have been like. We really enjoyed finding out about Kenneth Rowntree, a WWII war artist, and re-imaging his studio space. The children worked hard for months on this and were really pleased with the end result. Well done Salterton!
